FRI JUL 17 · REALIZED VOL · BTC < KOSPI
BITCOIN LESS VOLATILE THAN THE KOSPI — THE AI FRENZY IS DYING, THE HARDEST MONEY IS CALMING.
Coindesk put a number on a longer trend. Bitcoin’s realized volatility is now sitting below the KOSPI — South Korean equities — while the AI-driven risk-on trade rolls over. The Fundamentalist frame writes this pattern as the maturation curve every scarce reserve asset walks. Gold’s vol collapsed the same way after the 1971 dollar-decoupling: violent early cycles, progressively lower vol as the asset base compounded and the marginal buyer became more patient. BTC is doing the same thing. The trader class reads lower vol as an opportunity gone. The Fundamentalist tier reads it as the asset finding its correct volatility regime. Less noise. More signal. The cap is still twenty-one million; the vol curve is settling; the tape is more honest than it was a cycle ago. Read the maturation. Do not sell the calm.
